Operated by Swire Blue Ocean in Denmark, the O Class are market-leading Windfarm Installation Vessels (WIV) designed for operations focused on safety, efficiency and reliability. The Pacific Orca is equipped with a 1,200 tonne main crane and the Pacific Osprey with an extended 1,150 tonne main crane, optimised for installation of upcoming models of wind turbine generators (WTGs). For working in a harsh offshore environment, 6 x 105 metre legs equipped with rack and pinion jacking systems and spud cans are designed to jack up in the market’s most challenging seabed conditions with up to 11,000 tonnes of cargo on deck. The vessels have a redundant diesel electric system providing 24 MW of power for DP2 positioning and quick transits.
