Some of SPO’s towage services include:

- Escort towages
- Standby services
- Ocean towages
- Emergency tows
Some notable projects include:
In 13 March 2018, SPO’s Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) Vessel, the Pacific Dolphin was involved in the towage of a drillship belonging to a global rig owner from the Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago to Turkey.
Pacific Dolphin towing the drillship, passing Gibraltar en route to Aliaga, Turkey.
Pacific Dolphin towed the drillship from Spain towards its final destination, Aliaga in Turkey. While en route, the vessel stopped at Las Palmas, Spain for bunkering and crew change before continuing the voyage. The towage job was successfully completed after a 53-day voyage with the drillship safely delivered in Turkey on schedule. To ensure the smooth execution of the towage job, SPO’s Captain Kevin McLean and Fleet Operations Manager, Justin Taljaard produced a detailed towing manual and SPO received commendation from the client for a job well done.
In October 2018, SPO's AHTS Vessel, the Pacific Warlock was awarded a charter with one of our long term client in Korea to support the permanent abandonment of a subsea exploration well. The rig relocation from Zhoushan, China to Korea took approximately 20 days. This charter is significant as SPO's vessels have not operated full-time in Korea for more than 20 years, apart from towing a barge from Korea some years ago.
